ABOUT ME
Unexpected I discovered the art of pottery, this was the beginning of a hidden passion.
A dutch friend assures me of her joy working with clay, so I decided to join weekly classes not far away from home.
Encouraged by my family, a throwing wheel and an electric kiln gave me the courage to continue my passion.
Several trainings and some special people taught me to make my own high temperature glazes. I am a self supporting potter !
The choice is made, I want to live my passion.

MY CREATIVE PROCESS
There are no happier people on this planet than those who decide that they want something, define what they want, get hold of the feeling of it even before its manifestation and then joyously watch the unfolding as, piece by piece by piece it begins to unfold.

Glazing and decoration
With a mixture of different oxydes we obtain the glaze we are looking for. This is where the style of art comes to life.

Throwing and finishing
Every piece is handthrown with precision, a process which needs empowered skills and concentration. A finishing touch to every piece when it is leather hard.

Second and final heating
Firing at a high temperature of 1280°C allows the oxides to fuse to obtain the desired colors.
The final appearance of the work is revealed.

Drying and first heating
Once the piece is completely dry, a first firing of 980 °C is necessary for closing the stoneware and making the piece more solid.
Choice of clay
The choice of the high quality stoneware is important for making the required piece with its final apparence.
Each piece of my work bears my unique signature, combining traditional technique and creativity.
This signature exemplifies my commitment to quality craftsmanship and authentic art.
